Why I Blog About Africa

Loomnie asked me to answer this question (here is his answer to the above) – so here goes …..

I think probably my post called Africa studies says lots, have a look if you have a sec…

… basically just like all of us as we grow up we realise that we are interested in some things and not so much in other things …

I figured out that I really enjoy learning languages spoken on the continent and listen to music played here and so I decided to devote more time to this ( a lot more :0) … and so what happened was – I invented my own version of “Africa studies” which I preferred to the traditional ways of sitting in lecture halls and taking exams …… -  I decided to learn through drinking tea with people, walking down streets and jam along with whoever I met.

One gets richer with every cup of tea, with every jam session and I just felt like .. I could share these discoveries with whoever reads my blog. You probably noticed that I don’t write much – I prefer posting videos – this is because my Hunglish (= Hungarian English) is really poor when it comes to trying to describe and report about the things I see and then also because I am completely convinced that what ever we try to say can be said much better with music so why say anything hehe …

…. and so after a while one forgets why blogging …. the music just carries on …
